Often backwards compatibility is sacrificed in order to get the latest and greatest up to snuff. For example, there was an Nvidia update a few years ago that started that whole "rotating grass" phenomena, and it was never fixed though it doesn't always happen.
I have a feeling Windows 10 isn't exactly improving the landscape, as much as they'd like you to believe otherwise. Last edited by Plaid ; 26 Mar, pm. XX being screen refresh rate. The game holds 60 fps constant Vsync on but I get microstuttering only under DX Through the ingame console. Using gameprofile.
